The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles (LA Y) has long been a champion for Angelenos. This June, our partners at the LA Y unveiled their bold vision for community well-being, with approaches that are people-centered, community-responsive, and place-based.
The new Center for Community Well-Being strengthens the LA Y’s commitment to addressing pressing social issues, including youth mental health, social isolation, economic hardship, and disaster readiness. By combining proven programs and partners — spanning job training, childcare and youth mentorship — and with new ones designed to foster emotional and social well-being, the LA Y is redefining what it means to be at the very center of community.
