Our partners at United Way Worldwide have released their annual 211 Impact Survey, which analyzes data from 211 call centers in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Supported by United Way, 211 connects millions of people to essential resources, including housing, food, employment support and health care.
Last year, six million of the 19 million total referrals were for housing assistance — marking an all-time high and a 150% increase over the past decade. The findings reinforce that affordable housing remains one of the most urgent challenges facing communities nationwide.
Data like this helps shine a light on evolving community needs and informs more effective and responsive solutions.
